The Synthetic Stellar
Spectra Database POLLUX

New data for VMS spectra at low metallicity - July 1, 2025, 5:27 p.m. -

As of July 2025, 6 new collections of CMFGEN high resolution synthetic spectra and associated SEDs are available in the POLLUX database.

These collections contain spectra for very massive stars at metallicities 0.2, 0.1 and 0.01 Zsun as used in the paper Martins et al. 2025, A&A 698, A 262.

This version 13 of the database also provided corrected STAGGER-INTENSITY spectra (see previous news).

STAGGER-INTENSITY collection corrected and now available - June 23, 2025, 7:30 p.m. -

The STAGGER-INTENSITY had been disabled due to a problem in the name tagging of spectra (wrong value of mu).
The name tagging is now corrected and the collection is made available as of this day.

New version of the POLLUX web site - April 17, 2023, 5:54 p.m. -

Welcome to the new website of the POLLUX database !

It provides improved ergonomy and new query interfaces.

The database itself is also updated with new ntensity spectra based on STAGGER 3D model atmospheres, new massive stars spectra and IR RSG spectra based on MARCS model atmospheres.

Please refer to the user's guide for a complete description of the updates of the database content and the web interface.
