9th release of the Pollux database available now

The 9th release of the Pollux database is available as of July 2018. It presents a new category of spectra, a new short descriptor of the spetcra specificities and an extension of the spectral domain coverage for certain data.

The new spectra are based on 3D RHD simulations from the STAGGER code and computed by A. Chiavassa using the OPTIM3D spectral synthesis code. A detailed description is given in the updated user's guide. These new spectra are not only available in the visible domain, but also in the IR and UV spectral domains.

A shortly forthcoming new release will also provide UV and IR spectra for most of the CMFGEN based O-type stellar spectra already available in the database.
